Jr Rangers EHL Win Against Bandits

The Boston Junior Rangers came into the game against the Bandits Looking to exact some revenge. In an earlier meeting the Bandits beat the Rangers 5-2 with out much effort.  Since that time the Rangers have started to turn their season around winning the previous 3 of 4.

The game was started off with a fast pace in the first period.  Both teams were getting the puck up and  down the ice.  The first period belonged to the goaltenders.  The Rangers Goalie Matt Beliveau stopped 13 shots to hold back the Bandits.

The second period was much more of the same with both goalies facing 14 shots.  It was the Bandits that would break through on a goal with 3 minutes left in the period.  This has been the achilles heal for the Rangers, allowing the other team to score first. The team had to dig deal to make sure not to give up another one before the end of the period.

The Rangers came out of the locker room determined to turn this game around. Th Rangers pressed the Bandits al over the ice.  About half way through the period they were rewarded with a Greg Stoya goal off some nifty passing from Donaldson and Devlin. The Rangers second goal came shorthanded.  With Alan Boozer breaking up the defenseman and racing up the ice, he sent a pass to Tyler Theodoulou who walked in alone and sent a shot up over the goalies glove under the cross bar.

The Rangers played a strong came lead by the outstanding goaltending of Matt Beliveau. Who faced 35 shots on net.  Matt has won all 4 games that he has started to this point in the season.
