The Red team continued its strong play with another win 5-2. It did not look look good starting the game with Theodoulou, Stoya, and Donaldson almost scoring 30 seconds in to the game. It took some great goaltending from Tyler Fay to keep the Blue team off the board.
The scoring started half way through the first half off a rush with Jordan Hollaway launching blast from the top off the circle putting it under the bar. The red team struck again off a goal from Tommy Royer in front of the net off a rebound. The red team wen into the break with a 2-0 win.
The Blue team came out with every intention of getting things rolling in the second half. Austin Donaldson put the Blue team on the board. He took a pass from Tyler Theodoulou and let slap shot go from the top of the circle beating the goalie to the far side.
The Red team came right back with a goal to put them back up by 2. Devlin made rush and made a beautiful goal off a spin-o-rams in the slot and banged a shot past the goalie. The red team struck again off a 2-1 with Derek Mecrones putting a shot under the cross bar. The Red Team finished its scoring off a end to end rush form Ed Griffin.
The teams play again on Saturday morning at 10:30 am, the final day of training camp. The coaching staff has been very pleased with the level play. Coach Mario Martiniello said, "we are farther ahead of where we were this time last year at this time., we are very pleased at the progress we have this far."
